4TB HARD - DRIVE
Today, December 22th 2017, I installed my CPU Core - i7 microprocessor with Windows 10 Professional 64bits. Because of the default setting of my motherboard DVD ROM DRIVE did not placed on the FIRST BOOT. The first boot was UEFI boot. So, in the first of installment of WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM - with INSTALLER (DVD) DISK - the first boot must be DVD-ROM. The problem appear when I start dividing my 4 tera hard disk in to two partitions. I should divide (make partition) in to two partitions, with 200GB and the rest 3,75TB, so only with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) format you can install it, MBR (Master Boot Record) will not detect more than 2TB. Problems came when this HDD still with NTFS (New Technology File Systems) format and with MBR system. The CPU - Personal Computer - can only detect 2TB, and 200GB for operating system, the rest of HDD only 895GB, and 1875GB (2TB) will be un-allocated, without any possibilities to format. So, with Win 10 64 bits with UEFI format will only run/be compatible not with FAT16, FAT32 even NTFS (those all MBR format harddisk), but use GPT (GUID Partition Table) in UEFI format, the problem will be handled. Installing 4TB harddisk with GPT format, use DVD-OS win 10 64bits with UEFI, will be settled/running well. Divide it in to TWO PARTITIONS will be OK. 200GB and 3,85TB.
HOW TO CHANGE MBR TO GPT
Allway Back-Up your important data. In off-power condition (for CPU), make sure your 4TB HDD is plugged, it power and data cable must be in proper condition. Turn on your PC and try to DETECT it (4TB HDD) in BIOS (you can enter BIOS with hit DELETE button, or other button depending-on your PC. For HP/COMPAQ PC hit F10 or F4, IBM/LENOVO hit F1 or ESC, For Common Notebook Hit F2.). If the NEW 4TB HDD is detected and still NO OPERATING SYSTEM inside, you must USE DLC-BOOT 2016/2017 to enter WINDOWS 10 32/64 bits LIVE. Find DLC-MENU, you can choose HARDDISK TOOLS, just click AOMEI-PartAssist. Click on your 4TBHDD and CHANGE MBR to GPT, click ON THE LEFT YOUR 4TB and CONVERT it from MBR to GPT, you can see APPLY and CHECK it to apply the process. If everything is running well, your 4TB HDD will be formatted in GPT and you can start installing it.
NOTE: Tutorial to Install Windows 10 64bits with 4TB HDD with UEFI-boot and GPT-format harddisk, you can find them in the internet, the point is changing MBR into GPT format. You just made it.
DOWNLOAD YOUR TOOLS
There is one software that called AOMEI Partition Assistant. You can DOWNLOAD HERE. Install it, in your PC. For Notebook/Netbook you can run this software by Hiren's Boot CD 15.2 or DLC-Boot DVD version 2016/2017 (you can search their link URLs or just visit This DLC-BOOT's link and Hiren's Boot Link).
