Installing Windows XP on Toshiba TE2300

Problem With Its DVD COMBO (can not read any Cds/Dvds).
When I was asked to reinstall the Toshiba TE2300 notebook which incidentally DVD Combo luggage is damaged / can not read CDs. So I have difficulty in re-installing it, because the notebook could only be installed with: DVD / Combo Rom (accident damaged), LAN (booting via LAN), and External floppydisk. This notebook will not be installed using a DVD / CD ROM external much easier to find now and also would not also be installed with a USB FlashDisk XP Installer.
If luggage is damaged DVD combo will be very easy to install it. Then how?
1. You prepare a Windows 98 CD or Windows ME CD and Prepare a good Windows XP CD too.
2. You prepare a PC and most importantly, is there a reducer ATA to make PC motherboard can read Notebook hard drive (still ATA).
3. PC must have a DVD / CD ROM drive to install Windows 98/ME on Notebook Harddisk.
4. Remove the notebook hard drive, then put on the Reducer ATA and plug in a PC with a data cable ATA / IDE and the notebook's hard drive will be read on a PC as a regular hard drive.
5. Install it first with Windows 98 or Windows ME which we prepared earlier, install as usual until the finish.
Note: ignore if the Windows 98/ME asks some DRIVER. The goal is let Windows 98/ME is in notebook hard drive, and can be "running" at TE2300 notebook, later. 6. Copy and insert it into the ATA notebook hard drive the entire contents of his CD WINDOWS XP, create a folder, for example Windows XP, or XP or the other at will. Put a copy of this in any place, can the desktop, My Documents or elsewhere, which is important to remember where you put the copy of Windows XP from it.
7. When finished copy the entire contents of the Windows XP CD, turn off the computer.
8. Move ATA Harddrive to a Notebook TE2300 notebook, that content Operating System Windows 98/ME and a important folder Windows XP.
9. Turn TE2300 Notebook, make sure Windows 98/ME “is running”, ignore it if it asked the driver ,..... its final goal in order to enter Windows 98/ME, if requested restart, you must manually restart normally - you turn off manually then turn it back on - done up with Desktop Notebook TE2300 could arise.
10. Ignore it on a notebook drivers TE2300 ask ,.... open FOLDER WINDOWS XP that you copied earlier.
11. Click on SETUP, then came the display like you would upgrade the windows through the Windows not to install windows through DOS.
12. Click INSTALL XP, and so on until the finish ,..... and Windows XP can be installed in the Notebook DVD COMBO TE2300 who happened to her can not read CDs / DVDs.

Additional course:
If you have a connector DVD / CD ROM for this Notebooks (Toshiba TE2300) will be making installation easy. Other tips when there are two TE2300 Notebooks then you could "borrow a normal one, you can copy the image to the Hard Drive Notebook with problems from the Normal Notebook TE2300, using Acronis or Symantec-Norton Ghost.

Menginstall Windows XP Toshiba TE2300

Ketika saya diminta meng-install ulang notebook toshiba TE2300 yang mana secara kebetulan DVD Combo bawaannya rusak/tidak bisa membaca CD. Maka saya mengalami kesulitan dalam menginstall ulang, karena dia hanya bisa diinstall dengan : DVD/Combo Rom (kebetulan rusak), LAN (booting via LAN), dan External FloppyDisk. Notebook ini tidak mau diinstall menggunakan DVD/CD ROM external yang jauh lebih mudah ditemukan sekarang ini, tidak mau juga diinstall dengan USB FlashDisk XP Installer. Seandainya DVD combo bawaannya tidak rusak akan sangat mudah meng-installnya.
Lalu bagaimana caranya ?
1. Anda siapkan CD windows 98 atau CD Windows ME dan CD Windows XP tentunya
2. Anda siapkan PC dan yang terpenting adakah REDUCER ATA, jadi bisa motherboard PC bisa membaca harddisk Notebook TE2300 nya (masih ATA). Dan PC nya harus ada DVD/CD ROM nya untuk menginstall harddisk notebooknya.
3. Lepaskan harddisk notebooknya, lalu pasang di REDUCER ATA nya dan pasang di PC dengan kabel data ATA/IDE biasa, karena Reducer ATA ini memang membuat harddisk ATA notebooknya bisa dibaca di PC sebagai harddisk biasa.
4. Install terlebih dahulu dengan Windows 98 atau Windows ME yang sudah kita siapkan sebelumnya, install seperti biasa sampai dengan selesai. Catatan: tidak usah diinstall DRIVER nya. Tujuannya biar Windows 98/ME yang ada di harddisk notebooknya bisa “jalan” setelah dipindah ke notebook TE2300 nya nanti.
5. Copy dan masukkan ke harddisk ATA notebooknya seluruh isi CD WINDOWS XP nya, buatlah sebuah folder, misalnya Windows XP, atau XP atau yang lainnya sesuka anda. Letakkan copy-an ini di sembarang tempat saja, bisa desktop, My Documents atau tempat lain, yang penting anda harus ingat dimana meletakkan copy-an dari Windows XP nya.
6. Setelah selesai meng-copy seluruh isi CD Windows Xp, matikan komputer.
7. Pindahkan Harddisk ATA notebooknya ke Notebook TE2300, pasang seperti biasa.
8. Hidupkan Notebook TE2300, pastikan Windows 98/ME yang jalan/running, abaikan saja kalau dia meminta driver,.....tujuan akhirnya agar bisa masuk Windows 98/ME, kalau meminta Restart, boleh anda Restart biasanya manual – anda matikan secara manual kemudian hidupkan kembali – lakukan sampai dengan Desktop Notebook TE2300 bisa muncul.
9. Abaikan saja tentang driver yang notebook TE2300 minta,.... buka FOLDER WINDOWS XP yang anda copy sebelumnya.
10. Klik di SETUP, kemudian muncullah tampilan seperti anda akan meng-upgrade windows melalui WINDOWS bukan install windows melalui DOS.
11. Klik INSTALL XP, dan seterusnya sampai dengan selesai,.....dan Windows XP bisa terinstall di Notebook TE2300 yang kebetulan DVD COMBO nya tidak bisa membaca CD/DVD.

Tambahan saja :
Bila anda mempunyai Konektor DVD/CD ROM untuk Notebook in (toshiba TE2300) akan sangat membuat instalasi menjadi mudah. Tips yang lain bila ada dua Notebook TE2300 maka anda bisa “meminjam yang DVD combonya normal bisa membaca CD untuk melakukan instalasi/ atau anda copy image saja ke dalam Harddisk Notebook yang bermasalah, dengan menggunakan Acronis atau Symantec-Norton Ghost.
