MAKE PARTITION ON WINDOWS XP, WIN 7 AND WIN 8

BUILT-UP INSTALLATION DOESN’T HAVE MORE THAN ONE PARTITIONS
When we purchase PC or Notebook with original Operating System that has been installed usually only one partition as Operating System Drive. How to devide it into more than one partitions ? You can use software Partition Magic for XP with version 7 or 8 but Windows 7 or Windows 8 with version 10 or above. With this software (partition magic) sometimes will not works (especially in Windows XP) and if this happened you can not make any partitions in your computer/PC with this built-up windows software. If you want to have more than one partition you can reinstall it with a New Windows CD original, that you must buy again.

 
WHEN INSTALL WINDOWS XP  
You can make partition when you first install Windows XP, Boot from CD/DVD ROM, after enter, and hit F8 the computer will searching previous system (if there is one installed before). But first install will found UNALLOCATED/UNFORMATTED harddisk. By press C (create) yaou can create the partition you wanted. Press enter to fix it, and other partition is unallocated, you can make other partition by pressing C to spesified capacity of partition or just enter to make partition with left capacity of your harddisk. Ok! the patition of you harddisk is devide into OPERATING SYSTEMS (C drive usually) and DATA drive. 

WINDOWS 7 AND WINDOWS 8 
Without Partition Magic software you can SHRING or EXTEND you harddrive that have not been partitioned (only operating system and system reserved 100Mb). 

You just follow this steps : 
1. Click on Start (Windows 8 on Desktop folder) 
2. Find “Computer”, And right click it. 
3. You will see “Manage”, click on it 
4. The you can click “DISK MANAGEMENT” 
5. Point to your partition of your harddisk, you can read it (system with its capacity). And then Right Click on it 
6. Scroll bar will appear, and one of them “SHRINK”…. 
7. Be carefull with this step,….. 
8. Make the capacity on your harddrive RIGHT (not to small), you can watch the capacity will be (after shrink). 
9. You can TYPE the capacity or use scroll arrow (up or down, but it will take longer times…). 
10. Make sure that your SHRINKING is excatly right no mistakes. 
11. And click SHRINK and OK… you have new partition.

Want An USB DRIVE Application Similar To U3 Smart ?

U3 Is Trade Mark From Sandisk
Only certain Usb type that can be installed by U3 Smart, you will recognize it with its logo (on the body). U3 is may be a special edition in December 2009 ago,so if you purchase the USB Drive with brand Sandisk (Cruzer, Cruzer Blade, etc)they will not suitable/available U3 support. And if you have the Usb Sandisk with U3 Smart will be a good news, may be they are rare thing, take care of it.

Open Source that mean Free From Charge. You just have to have Internet Connection to Download the Installer and to download some applications that automatically installed to your Usb Drive. How To Install ? 
Before Installation make sure your system is connected to the Internet (on line). Double Click on PortableApps.exe Platform Setup...(and will appear RUN) click on it. Direct the installation to your USB drive (depend on where the Usb Drive is detect by you computer, example: Drive F:, Drive E:, and so on)by click BROWSE box,... and click OK. And wait untill finish,....and it will directly detect to portable application website,... you can choose (by checking it in the box)the application you want to install to your Usb Drive. It will be automatically installed after download is done. Now you can make password on your USB drive, you can eject it, you can make the colour of application by setting it, etc.... Thanks a lot.

BACKING-UP OUR DATA

The datas of your computers are very important, maybe more important than computer itself.  Yes, work’s data,  old important data, proposal data, confidential data and so on.  One word is that true, DATA is very important. But loosing data is usually happened, so to prevent in loosing data you must have data BACK-UP. It is wise to make one or more data back-up, to make sure your all (important) data is not lost (without back-up).

Where You will store your data ?

In other word how and where to back-up our data.

Generally we have three data storages. Dynamic data storage and static data storage, and now days we have online data storages that provided by server/cloud data storages. We called cloud data storages or server data storages.

Backing-up Your data.

1.Static data storage, e.g :CD -r, DVD-r, CD-rw, DVD-rw, you will  back-up safer with static data storage, and with read only static data the safest. But this media maybe damage by screcth, so store them carefully. Two year or more your data will be safe if you make a good maintenance, put your CD/DVD in the place that dry and cool, do not put them in the moist, hot and direct sunlight, and keep them from magnetic  induction. Rewriteable CD/DVD is static data storage but you must be more caution for replacing old data – that maybe in your dvd/cd rw – because it can be replaced by new data for few times – 3 or4 times only - .  The weakness of this (static data storage) is the small /less capacity than dynamic data storages.

2. Dynamic data storage,e.g: Memory Card – SD,Micro SD, M2, Stick Pro Duo,MMC, Mini SD – etc, flash disk, External Harddisk, SSD – solid state disk, harddisk.  Back-up with this media has more risks than the static data storages.  This media may be infected by viruses/malware. Damage in their electronic tools - motherboard, IC - , and mechanic tools too. Electic shock / not safely remove  will be dangerous to this media.  The strength of this media has big/ more capacity. But with extra careful maintenance will make your data safe.

3. Cloud data storages, there are two of them paid server data storages and free data storages. I can show you the free one, you can store/save your data in their server with free, www.4shared.com, www.mediafire.com, www.ziddu.com,  and so on, but they provide the premium – paid –data storage too. The paid one is always better and safer than  free one.

PREVENTIVE ACTION ALWAYS BETTER

If you lost your data without backed them up, maybe will be bad moment, but there are many ways to make your data back. Even not 100 percent you can save them better less than never. You can use softwares : get my data back –ntfs and fat32 -, recuva, forensic kit, etc.

It may be lame story of us, but when you ought to use windows 98 for some reason, this posting perhaps will help you. When you worked in Win 98 of course USB Flash disk do not detect automatically like I said before, so you Back-up your Installation file that you have downloaded before, use Blank-CD to put on it - use blank-cd to back-up your file (usb flashdisk driver for win98). Plug your Flashdisk to your PC/notebook with win98 operating system - it will detect but will not recognize as flash disk... ignore it, Use CD driver to install Usb Driver for flashdisk, with double click setup.exe and.....untill done. Click OK...(unplug your FlashDisk and re plug it). Your installation has just been done. If everything is running well your flash disk will detect as REMOVABLEDISK, and it can be OPENED/ARCHIVE. For Win Xp/vista/Win 7 or Linux, usually not needed this driver.

VIRUS "SHORTCUTS" ONE OF THE MOST DISTURBING VIRUS

SHORTCUT VIRUS
When I plugged my flashdrive suddenly my comuiter's system is being infected by "shortcuts", there are four shortcuts(folders) and one "autorun.inf" (hidden)file. Later identified as a virus. In the beginning this virus may be it is not disturbing the system (windows system - especially Windows XP and win 7), but in the end this "shortcuts" virus will be dangerous as well as other virus commonly. In many antiviruses this virus will be detected as different name at each antivirus, for example: In symantec (norton) antivirus will be detected as RAMNIT, in Smadav antivirus will be junk file, in Avira will be malware, and so on. The conclusion is this virus will increase it's danger/disturbing to the system by the time after the system is infected.

 WHAT WILL WE DO IF OUR SYSTEM IS ATTACKED BY SHORTCUTS VIRUS ? 
There are two of ways to make safe your computer's system, preventive action and curative action from the viruses. I will give you the tips that may be useful. 1. To prevent your system is the best way, you should install the antivirus - the best time to install it is the first time you "running" the system (windows) before install another applications/softwares. 2. It will be great if you UPDATE your antivirus you have installed in your system, commonly by download via internet (online). For some reason your antivirus is not up to date (obsolete), and when it is obsolete/not up to date the advantages of this antivirus is going to decrease/will not detect any viruses and clean them. So you must update it to their website. In my blog there are several antivirus links, you can update your antivirus by downloading its updater if you wish. But if you have good internet connection online updating will be better. For Symantec antivirus you just right click the mouse (at symantec ICON on Quick Launch Bar) and run LIVE UPDATE, NEXT.... will automatically download the update file. AVIRA (icon in Quick Launch Bar) you can hit F9 or right click your mouse and UPDATE NOW, Smadav, McAfee, Bit Defender, NOD32,....etc. When your antivirus is updated your system is generally safe. what is that mean ? The virus's creator will not take a rest, even one minute, they have "super energy" to create the newer version of their viruses. I can not understand their mind. But we knew that the virus creators always one step ahead antivirus creators. So updating your antivirus will make easier preventing the system from being infeted by viruses. 3. When the system has been infected by "shortcuts" virus, what should we do ? 1. Use other PC/Netbook to scan your infected system. Remove the harddisk - be careful, you should remove it when the power is off - put it on other computer as slave drive, to make sure your harddisk - system in your harddisk - is not the first boot. then scan all your file - include DATA files - in your harddisk untill the infected files being cleaned or sometimes been deleted.(folders of shortcut virus with extension ".lnk" will always be deleted/removed by antivirus), and autorun.inf too. Remove your haddisk and move to your PC/notebook and run the windows,.... if there are not system files that corrupted, windows/system will run well. But if there are several corrupting files you can REPAIR the system with original CD/DVD installation you have/recovery files - some available on your haddisk as image recovery data. 2. Use HIREN CD WINDOWS XP LIVE You can see the shotcuts viruses and autorun.inf that manace your system a.k.a shortcuts virus. Delete them,... if it deleted, and there are no viruses left, your computer will be fine. But when you failed to delete them - often the autorun.inf will appear again and again - so you use step 2. 3. The Last Step When Two of Them Is Unsuccessful This is the last step when other steps didn't work. Reinstall or reformat your system. The aesiest way but you should prepare many application/softwares and driver, so is antivirus. Except when your computer (PC/NETBOOK) has RECOVERY FILES IN YOUR HARDDRIVE/DVD/CD. Please Back-up your data first to make sure your datas will not miss. OK...  

PREVENTIVE ACTION is BETTER than CURATIVE One 
For preventing your system from malware - virus, spamm, adware, spyware, root-kit,etc - after installation of your system, please install the ANTIVIRUS FIRST. Some antiviruses make your computer "performance" may be slower. Use INTERNET SECURITY to anyone that connect to the internet/use internet connection. Shortcuts.link/RAMNIT/STUXNET.... is one of million or billion viruses that probably attack your system. So to make thier attack/infect is less, install antivirus is the best way, even makes your performance "perhaps" slower. Slower but safe. Thanks
